Polish Duon has become part of UCED’s energy division

9. January 2025

UCED, which also includes the GGE group, has acquired a 100% stake in the DUON group. DUON is a significant player in the Polish market in the distribution and sale of natural gas. UCED acquired DUON from its previous owner, Infracapital, a part of the British company M&G Plc.

Since 2017, Duon has been a subsidiary of the GGE group until it was sold by Infracapital in April 2024 to the Czech company UCED. In the Polish market, Duon holds a strong position not only in the distribution and sale of natural gas through gas distribution networks but also in the utilization of liquefied natural gas (LNG).

Currently, Duon operates over 800 kilometers of gas distribution networks and stations for converting LNG back into a gaseous state. Additionally, it provides comprehensive energy consulting and solutions for industrial enterprises.

UCED is part of the Czech CREDITAS group, which manages energy assets. These include the production and supply of electricity and heat in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The CREDITAS group has been active in the energy sector, including through UCED, since 2013.
